Deanna R Duerst

Deanna holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in sociology with emphasis in social work administration and a minor in psychology. At CHDR, Deanna focuses on research administration, pre-award activities including proposal budget development, submission processes, and award setup activities.

Deanna has worked the whole of her professional life with grant development, compliance and implementation. Prior to joining the UW, she worked in community non-profits serving vulnerable populations, and she was the Executive Director of EMMCA Aging Coalition. She has worked with UW research grants for over 17 years within the College of Engineering and most recently with the Division of Geriatrics for 8 years.
