Cassie Sanford

Cassie holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in geography and environmental studies with a certificate in French from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. At CHDR, Cassie works as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist. She works with spatial data and supports CHDR with data visualizations. 

Before working at CHDR, Cassie was a COVID-19 GIS data analyst and database administrator for the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services. She has experience in working with spatial health data to create maps to show disease spread and vaccination rates. Additionally, she also created online automated dashboards to visualize where testing and vaccination clinics should be set up to best help the people of Wisconsin. Cassie has extensive experience working with Census data and Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) data to make sure that those who are most vulnerable are receiving resources that are appropriate and equitable.
