Launched in 2024, the Early Career Peer Network exists to foster connection among early career postdoctoral fellows, scientists, and advanced trainees focused on social exposome and health disparities research. Through regular meetings focused on peer mentoring, knowledge exchange, and professional development, the group offers a platform where members can discuss challenges, share progress, and receive timely feedback.

Members receive the support and mentorship they need to advance in their research careers with confidence, strengthening both individual growth and the broader scientific community. Join us on November 12 @ 1:00 p.m. (CT) to hear from founding and current members of the Early Career Peer Network to explore the intersections of their research, their experiences working in precision public health-aligned research, and the role of peer connections in fostering new opportunities for learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

We are putting the finishing touches on this month’s agenda. For now, reserve the time on your calendar and watch this space for details, updates, and links!

This hybrid event will take place in person in 3110B and via Zoom.
A light lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.

Registration is appreciated but not required.

Coordinated by the Center for Health Disparities Research (CHDR), the CHDR Precision Public Health Forum operates as an open, collaborative, multidisciplinary space for members of the research, public health, health equity, clinical, and policy communities to share their work and perspectives on precision public health, contextualized through the lens of exposome science, systemic health equity, and health disparities research.

The monthly series complements existing and emerging efforts across SMPH to lead precision public health by providing a platform to bring diverse perspectives into conversation and concert, creating space for exchange across disciplinary boundaries and contributing to a shared language and understanding of precision public health as an emerging interdisciplinary field and SMPH strategic priority.

The forum will be held on the second Thursday of every month at 1:00 p.m. (CT).  For the best experience, we recommend joining us in person in 3110B HSLC. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be available via Zoom webinar.

The forum is free, and all are welcome to attend. We hope you will join us.
