Hana holds a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, an MA in Rhetoric, Politics, and Culture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BA in International Studies and Political Science from Macalester College.

Hana’s work focuses on making CHDR’s vital resources available to a broad range of audiences through outreach and communications.

Hana is a longtime researcher and educator with a passion for understanding how social systems and injustices shape people’s lives, health, and well-being. Prior to joining CHDR, Hana completed an American Council of Learned Societies postdoctoral fellowship with the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS). At ACCESS, she focused on creating accessible communications at the intersection of public health and humanities research by and for Middle Eastern and North African American communities.
