Guiying (Angel) Zhong is a Chinese American woman in their 20s. They have long dark hair and wear a white cardigan.

Angel holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of the Pacific, where she doubled majored in psychology and English with minors in writing and in ethnic studies. At CHDR Angel is a research analyst on the Residential History Team.

During their time at Pacific, Angel served as an undergraduate research assistant for three psychology labs, where they developed a passion for and skills relevant to leveraging research to inform public policy and advance holistic health equity. Angel is also an experienced community advocate, having completed two AmeriCorps fellowships focused on the social determinants of health, an inclusive policy and advocacy internship with Elevance Health, and a year-long youth advisory role with the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). In the future, Angel hopes to bridge research and health policy through public impact driven scholarship.
